Rebuilt in 2021 by MAD (Ma Yansong), who kept the 1907 red-brick station house at the centre and sank the modern concourse beneath a planted roof — the plaza reads as a park with an old station in it. It is the most architecturally interesting station on the Shanghai–Hangzhou line, and a 30-minute ride from both cities.
