A preserved Ming-Qing lane along the old city moat, barely 500 metres long, that produced more than a hundred historical figures — Zhao Yuanren, Qu Qiubai and Sheng Xuanhuai all grew up here. Brick-and-timber halls sit behind whitewashed walls; the restored section keeps real residents rather than turning into a pure tourist set.
